Today there are only a handful OF very expensive HD DVD players on the market that can play true High
Definition DVD's. However, there are several DVD players on the market that up-convert standard DVDs
to near High Definition quality (Best Buy , Circuit City and Amazon.com carry great up- converting DVD
players.) While the picture quality is significantly better than standard DVD players, it's still not a true
1080i/1080p High Definition image.
Video Accent creates all of our original DVD series, such as “The Artist Series”, on true High Definition
(1080i) digital masters. That way you get the best possible resolution today and when the High
Definition DVD players (HD-DVD and Blu-ray ) begin to hit the market in the second half of 2006 we will
be able to make High Definition versions of all of the Artist Series discs available to you very quickly.
